Resavoir - Resavoir

Very much a collaborative project spawned during the pandemic, the self-tiled Resavoir is the sophomore LP from the Oberlin Conservatory-trained brass player Will Miller. Some of the tracks skeletons took form during the early days of the pandemic, subsequent instrumentations and production incubated over the last legs of the human isolation, eventually leading to an album of modern day soul jazz. Miller solicited contributions from a team of fresh contemporary jazz talents budding in the Chicago scene, Matt Gold and Macie Stewet to name a few. Beaming synth and redemptive horns radiate from beginning to the end. It is an album that is as much about the moods it inspires as it is about the songwriting / collaborative process.
