Matthew Tavares & Leland Whitty - Visions

A post breakup project from one half (Matthew Tavares and Leland Whitty) of the classic BADBADNOTGOOD line-up. It is obvious to notice the absence of the hip hop influences that permeate in BBNG's prime body of work such as III and IV, instead it is a feast of ping ponging between compositons and free jazz improvisation that feed on library music and orchestral arrangement.

Given the sour relationship between Tavares and other two original members, it is interesting enough to see how his chemistry fare with Leland who joined BBNG halfway. Tavares on keys and guitar, and Whitty on woodwinds, it is a welcoming indication of some new direction that Tavares will navigate to in years to come.
