Má Estrela - Tornada

Má Estrela comprises some of the key who's who in the burgeoning experimental music scene in Lisbon. Spearheaded by saxophonist Pedro Alves Sousa, he formed Má Estrela by inviting the mysterious electronic musician Bruno Silva (using monikers Serpente and Ondness), multi media artist Simão Simões, avant garde drummer Gabriel Ferrandini and cellist Bruna de Moura. Many of them are associated with the Lisbon label Discrepant helmed by sound artist Gonçalo F. Cardoso.

Also a release by Discrepant in late 2025, Tornado is a narrative of the intersection where dub, leftfield and footwork cross path under a free jazz context, and also a testimonial to the experimental club culture that Lisbon is nurturing.
