Joseph Shabason - Welcome to Hell

A far cry from him seminal ambient jazz album "Anne" released in 2018, the Toronto experimental musician juxtaposed his previous work with "Welcome to Hell" in 2023.

Composed as a re-scoring of the classic Ed Templeton skateboarding video of namesake. Funky music in much slower bpm with subdued dub beats, cheesy 80s sax chops, a much lighter take in life compared to the heavy subject narrated in his previous album. Welcome to Shabason's kaleidoscope of sound design.
