Dorian Dumont - to the APhEX

After his 2021 "APHEXion ", French pianist Dorian Dumont comes back with "to the APhEX" released on the progressive Belgium jazz label W.E.R.F. All songs other that the track "Icct Hedral's Echo" were Aphex Twin's covers. However, other than the name of the song, none of them sounds anything like what you would expect from the singular electronic genius of our time. One shareable attribute might be that there are abrupt emotion changes in songs, just via different instruments.
