Donder - Het Verdriet

A very special album inspired by Belgian journalist Pol Heyns who recorded the Lowlands folk songs during the 1930s. The Antwerp-based chamber jazz trio Donder recorded "Het Verdriet" with harmonium player Sigbjørn Apeland, reminiscing their roots and heritage. They incorporate old field recordings into their songs, adding a sense of melancholy to the minimalism that Donder is noted for. Het Verdriet is the 2nd album released on our beloved W.E.R.F. label.
