Daniel Thorne - Lines of Sight

To the UK music label Erased Tapes, Daniel Thorne's Lines of Sight reflects a continuing and natural exploration of electronic and acoustic instrument relationships. It is no surprise that Lines of Sight is so film score sounding given his experience. An alchemy of angular electronic ambience and revolving saxophone melodies, at times they oscillate in unison while other times living out their own dramas. This is another album where we see contemporary musicians take what would normally be regarded a traditional jazz instrument to explore new territory.
