Bitchin Bajas - Bitchintronics

"Bitchintronics" is the Chicago trio Bitchin Bajas first release under Drag City. They have previously issued a few releases under the label Kallistei Editions and Important Records, only to be picked up by Drag City in 2013. The three band members Cooper Crain, Rob Frye and Daniel Quinilivan are no stranger to the Chicago experimental scene. Both Crain and Frye are bandmates from drone outfit Cave, and Quinilivan has been involved with the Narural Information Society.

Founded by Crain, they use vintage synthesizers to build lush, hypnotic ambient landscapes and cosmic, psychedelic arpeggio. Weaving repetition, looping ethos, and multi-layered patterns are often deployed to explore long-form, meditative sound structures.
