Amaro Frietas - Y'Y

Hailing from the Northeastern Brazilian coastal city of Recife, Amaro Freitas is an avant garde visionary. Working with prepared piano, he pays homage to the Amazonia, showing respect to his ancestry and inviting understanding from the outside world. His percussive jazz music is contributed by some of the best jazz contemporaries such as Jeff Parker, Shabaka Hutchings and Brandee Younger.
