Oren Ambarchi / Johan Berthling / Andreas Werliin - Ghosted

Ghosted has three installations. The first one was recorded, before the world lost its sanity, in 2018 at the famed Rymden studio in Stockholm. The trio Oren Ambarchi / Johan Berthling / Andreas Werliin defines a new syntax within the jazz aesthetics. The head is no longer a melody bookending a song but an ostantino repeating throughout. It is there to optimize the musicians' creativity by means of constraints. The result is a 70s ECM aesthetics reinforced by a tightly-defined spatial geometry, modernized by a krautrock workout with fleeting ebbs and flows of improvisation.
